BEIJING – AUGUST 20: Melaine Walker of Jamaica celebrates after winning the gold medal in the women’s 400m final during the track and field athletics event at the National Stadium during Day 12 of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games on August 20, 2008 in Beijing, China.
I was just visiting Jamaica and fell in love with it. Yay, Melanie!
Thanks for the comment!
Did you see how she acknowledged her intruduction at the start of the race. She did the head movement from Dutty Wine…LOL Dem Jamaicans too nuff yes!
LOL! Yeah… was funny!
I’m happy for them, and I’m happy our T&T team did their best as well.
I hope the powers that be will give the sportsmen and women their just dues and financial support!
I thought your coverage of the Olympics was better than the Olympics themselves — great photos, great moments, the best part was to see the Caribbean sweep all of the sprint events so masterfully, and under their own flags.
Thanks, I’m not even finished yet… had to take a break due to real world commitments.
The Caribbean (esp. Jamaica) put the world on notice. There’s a lot to be said about homegrown talent.
