I was doing some shopping in West Trinidad, and was waiting to meet someone. As I walked to my car, I happened upon this scene and just started taking pictures.
The driver drives a taxi, and the ornament was passed down to him by his taxi-driver father. When he related the story of how hard his father worked to support his family, the man sobbed unabashedly and without shame.
All his brothers also drive taxis, and have similar ornaments on their cars… theirs have plastic wings though.
He was the only one to get an ornament from his Daddy.
Peace and Rice,
